It is believed by most card scholars that playing cards were first invented and used in China. In addition to the standard International deck used for many games played in China, there are several other special decks used for a number of games as played in China. The majority of cards games as played in China do not feature the dealing of cards but rather an orderly draw of cards from the deck by the players.
